Kurt Gunn & The Kernal

  • The Refuge Lounge 2400 South Kensington Drive Appleton, WI, 54915 United States (map)
Kurt Gunn and The Kernal Refuge Lounge June 21 2018

Kurt Gunn has been quietly making a name for himself from Green Bay and beyond. And with four solo albums to his credit, and nominations for Singer Songwriter of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year by the Wisconsin Area Music Industry, we're so excited to welcome him to the Refuge Lounge. Kurt's unique style and impassioned songwriting are sure to capture you and perfectly set the stage.

The Kernal is a southern gentleman who has deep roots in Nashville's music scene. Along with his band, the New Strangers, the Kernal tours the country with his home-grown brand of Southern mystique, including recent tours with friend and fan John Paul White. In March 2017, the Kernal released "Light Country" with Single Lock Records: an album that's close to his heart and rich with personal history. Featuring long-lost snippets of music performed by his family and a rich connection with the Grand Ole Opry, the album showcases the Kernal's breadth, storytelling ability, and sense of humor.

Please help us welcome them to the Lounge!
