Hurricane Maria Benefit with Melissa Otero

  • The Refuge Lounge 2400 South Kensington Drive Appleton, WI, 54915 United States (map)

Last fall Hurricane Maria tore through the Caribbean during a particularly active hurricane season, devastating the island of Puerto Rico. With water levels rising between five and nine-feet, most lost their homes and possessions and many are still without power. The hurricane is the island's most devastating natural disaster.

The Refuge Lounge is proud to partner with Melissa Otero and the Stardust Foundation to bring you a very special night of live music to support the families in Luquetti (Yauco, Puerto Rico).

Otero, who grew up in the region, is a Puerto Rican pop/rock singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur. After the success of her first single, "My First Everything," an album, and a successful 'Free Spirit' tour, which brought her through the Fox Valley, Melissa has returned to bring her voice and her passion to supporting the families of Puerto Rico.

This event is free to the public, but we're suggesting a $20 donation at the door so that we can do what we can to support the Stardust Foundation and the many in Puerto Ricans still struggling to rebuild their lives.

It's a night of music, the like of which we've never had at the Lounge before. Please join us and help support this special cause!
